My name is Jennifer Ramon-Valdez and I am running as a write-in candidate for Menard County Constable in the 2024 general election. As a longtime resident and 1991 graduate from Menard High School, I am deeply committed to ensuring and protecting the well-being of our community. My campaign is driven by a dedication to service, fairness, and integrity.
I have been married to Phillip Valdez for 33 years. In that time, we have raised three daughters and are currently enjoying the blessings of four grandsons. With their support, I was inspired to run for constable.
My career in public service began as a juvenile detention officer and electronic monitoring officer in Idaho. I then worked at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution as a corrections officer before advancing to the roles of sergeant and lieutenant at CCA Idaho Correctional Center. My experience extended to Northwest New Mexico Correctional Center, where I managed responsibilities in the mail room. Currently, I am serving my community in a different capacity as a substitute teacher for the Menard Independent School District and as part of the Menard County food delivery program. I am also an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and pride myself on having a deep commitment to faith and unity.
I believe that the role of constable is crucial in maintaining the trust and safety of our neighborhoods and courtrooms, with a focus on respect, positivity, and humility. I aim to bring a balanced and community-centered approach to this position. As a write-in candidate, I am counting on and humbly asking for the support of the people of Menard County. Together, we can make a difference.
